Superintendent to discuss priorities for Leon schools
Superintendent of Schools Jackie Pons will visit the Tallahassee Democrat today to discuss his priorities and strategies for Leon County Schools.
Pons, who was elected in November, has named career academies, technology instruction and less red tape for teachers among his top priorities.
He went into details on his plans for these issues at the January retreat of the Leon County School Board. He is scheduled to meet with the newspaper’s editorial board at 3 p.m.
